November 27 High School life?Oooooh. I've been watching My Boss My hero, thanks to Nazri. :P
It's about a young master Yakuza having to do high school or is father will pass on leadership to his younger brother. So this illiterate 27 y/o Yakuza leader goes to high school and he lives out his high school days, experiences that he's never felt before, bringing him much confusion, agony. However, amongst many more troubling matters, he's able to find happiness in things he's never experiences before... love, friendship, learning or something like that. :P So anywho, my question to you. How was your high school life? And were you satisfied?
I'm feeling bored and feel like writing. More reflecting. D:
I will start with myself? I was the quiet nerdy type. >_> It was strange because I transferred into my new high school in term 4 of year7. Previously, I went to an all boys school with a lot of my primary school friends, it wasn't so bad as the all girls sister school was just up the road. It was aprivate school, so we had to wear ties and blazers. I quite enjoyed the activities they held - I won trivia? And weekly prizes? Scored me lots of movie tickets and music vouchers. :D Strangely enough, with no big connection to anime back then - my best subjects were Japanese and Maths. Then we moved over to Glen Waverley, and I went to Glen Waverley secondary college, it's meant to be an elite government school, well actually it is. I think that's the reason why we moved anyway. And entry into the school was upon selective area meaning - live next to the school and you get in, that's why we're currently sitting on a 800k house.
Anywho, as I said before I transferred during term 4, year 7. Unfortunately glennie only taught chinese, italian and french, so Jap was out of the question. In addition to that, all the chinese classes had been filled. To make it more convenient your form room/home room/class were organised so that students studying the same language would be put in a the same classes. We had a total of 12 classes, 3 italian, 3 french, 3 chinese and 3 advanced chinese. They were out of space in the chinese classes so I was put into a french class. Of course, judging by the amount of chinese classes that were already occupied, it was no doubt that my class was full of aussies studying french. I ended up learning two years of french just like that.
I think my class had 4 asians already in it. I was the only Asian guy. There was another 4 asian girls? if I can remember correctly, and like usual the asians stick together. I quickly made friends with a white guy who was my best friend in which I no longer keep in contact with... and we were friends with the other two asian girls. One of the girls lived kinda close to me, so we walked back together. From what i can remember, she was cool. She had a grudge with another Asian girl in my class, I don't know what it was about, but it was funny to watch at the time. :). She left at the end of the year, to PLC. So all in all, we only knew each other for one term? But that link roke the small group we had? The other asian girl who used to hang with us had to find some other friends, and as year 7's we went back to making friends with the same sex. (cough) sounds wrong)
I think the next three years pretty much stayed the same. I felt the were a lot of distance between me and the guys? Probably because I was asian? I mean, they'd play sports for a team on saturday and go out on sunday? For me? It was more like tuition on saturday and then tuition on sunday plus being forced to go to relatives place every sunday night...
Once year 11 hit in, we got to choose our subjects. I amde a lot of friends with asians for some reason... similar interests maybe? More understanding of my troubles? I don't know. Something like that. I'd known them through electives in year 9 and 10. It's strange you see. If you walk into an electives class with people you hadn't met before. The asians will go with the asians and the caucasians will go with the caucasians. I was still pretty much the same in year 11. Then in year 12 I started talking more... and before I had time to enjoy it, it was already over. Sad, no?
